Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show returns to CBS on the 5th of August to begin the second season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, where she was moderator as well as host. Her real passion came when she began writing her own show and won an Emmy. The fact that she hosted an amazing entertainment talk show has earned her another Emmy. From 2002 until 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host for The Early Show. Following the 9/11 attacks, she traveled to Cairo to conduct an interesting and informative interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania of Jordan as well as former Defense Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities like Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves covered the Emmy Award-winning CBS Sunday Morning News show. He also interviewed celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis or Paula Abdul. Before joining The Early Show he was an CBS own station journalist at New York City, WCBS. She also served as a producer at ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the affiliate news service of the network in the late 1990s, as well as an office assistant for ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991), while finishing her senior year at University of Southern California. Her first job in broadcasting was as a desk associate to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalism heros. Chen Moonves, who won Columbia du-Pont for the primetime Anatomy of a Riot special which explored the 1992 Los Angeles riots, worked in conjunction with Koppel.
